Summer Fun = Tired Mom

As true with most people, we have been going going going all summer long.  As it is, just this year we have vacationed in 5 different states.  Our weeks are filled with outings to the park, skatepark, pool, friends pool, or some lake nearby.  I can not sit still and my kids are equally energetic.  Its beginning to wearing on me.
I. am. pooped.
(Pooped but still up blogging at 11:45, huh?)
I put TaylorRose in her super cute rain clothes the other day when it was coooold and rainy.  She couldn't walk in them.  Hahaha!
CK finished up soccer and got his super cute little trading cards.  Awww!
Surprise!  TaylorRose likes chocolate.  (Since she was, like, 3 months old)  She also has severe cravings for dog bones.  She runs like mad if she realizes I am about to take her canine treasure away from her.
 Tubin' at the pool
Dunkin' at the pool
 Chillin' at the pool
CK hit up the diving board!  First time ever!
TaylorRose looooves to jump off the side to me.  She does it as soon as she gets near water.  This could be bad... I gotta keep my eye an that girl.
And she wants to swim.  I let her go for a second and she bobs up and down like a buoy.  Blubber is bouyant!  Haha!  (OMG!  I just noticed that the word "bouy" is the root of bouyant.  Fun!)

Adoption Party

We finally got around to having Christian's adoption party.  Our super good friends, Jay and Mel, hosted this very memorable event for us.  What an awesome gift!  Christian didn't really get why we were having a party, though I explained it the best I could to a four year old.  All he cared about is that he was having a party and we were all going to be swimming. Jackpot for him!
Oddly, there are no pictures of Ryan and Christian together at the party.  Actually, Ryan is MIA in all of these pictures.  Whats up, man?  He must've been chatting it up in Jay's man cave (outdoor kitchen/bar thingy) most of the day.

Surfin' USA! (or Oklahoma)

We ventured on up to Lake Murray in Oklahoma to camp with a big group of friends, as we do every summer.  Taylor had a blast with her BFF, Jess.  Christian picked up a new sport to add to his long list - wake surfing.  Cute lil' boy.  He looked so tiny out there in that big ol' lake.

Potty Training

I started potty training Tay about a month ago.  She is doing really well!  At home, as long as we are in our normal routine, she doesn't have any accidents.  Sometimes she will tell me "pee pee" (which is baby for either "tee tee" or "poo poo"... its all the same to her) but I have to run because that usually means NOW!
I trained CK when he was 15 months old and it took about 3 months before there were absolutely no accidents at all.  As long as they know what it means to go potty, its actually really easy to teach a baby.  It makes things so much easier when diapers aren't involved!

And yes, she is chewing on a dog raw hide. It happens.

She has fun on the potty, too!

Summer Fun

This summer has already come in with a roar! So far we have been to Hawaii, gone to Joe Pool lake at least 8 times, gone out to Aledo for a few pool parties, gone to Lake Granbury to hang with some friends, been to Lake Palestine for our family reunion, been to the skatepark a few times, had lots of kids over, gone to an awesome concert, been to lots of church events, watched my cousin's little ones for a weekend, finished up soccer, started potty training Taylor, and played played played!

I covered Tay's bulletin board.

We played at the park on Joe Pool.

Tay learned to climb up the playground and slide down all by herself.
 Christian found an alter ego.
Tay learned to use golf clubs as swords... wonder where she learned that?!
(side note:  check out those adorable leggings!  I want some for me!)
Christian has gotten really good at dropping in!  You should see him on a half pipe.

Christian decided he wants a brother!  We are watching baby Collin today and CK said "I wish we could keep him".  Christian shared his cars with Collin and wants to be by him all day.  Collin loves chewing on Tay's blanket.  Sweetie pie!
I think the only time Ryan and I have sat still was in Hawaii!
