A new trick!

Christian has a new trick under his belt - 2 wheeling!  My brother, Shane, picked up a new bike for Christian and worked with him on it about four times on Monday.  Then Ryan put him on his bike yesterday and he did it the very first time.  Pretty impressive.  This kid is always shocking me.  First, with potty training so easily at 15 months... then hitting a baseball so well at 16 months... then pitching a ball with style at 16 months... then skateboarding at 18 months... then riding his big kid scooter all crazy-like... and teaching himself to swim before he was even two... doing flips in the pool... plus riding the ramps at the skatepark recently...
Uh-oh.  Future adrenaline junkie?!
I sure hope academics come easily to him.  That's the important part, right?
I just wish I had been this cool when I was a kid.  The only thing I ever did that impressed anyone was show my two younger cousins how to do some lame dance I learned on Grease 2.  And I can wiggle both eyebrows.  Uh, yeah.  Neat.

Robbers' Delight

They say not to post pictures of the inside of your house on anything public. This allows robbers to basically shop online before coming to pick up the merchandise. I think by posting pictures of the inside of my house, I will be granting myself insurance. Unless the robber has a particular liking to electronics manufactured in the 90's, my house is not a gem. We use our stuff until it goes out completely. If duct tape and super glue can fix it, then it isn't broken.
So, on that note... I am posting pictures of our house so we won't forget it. (Thieves and thugs, don't waste your time.)  Many firsts were held here.  We are moving soon. We made an offer on a house and they accepted.
Good-bye house!
I probably won't miss that gold fireplace, though.  Ick.

Christian's First Year (birth to one)

I wish I had this blog when Christian was a new baby.  There are so many things I would have loved to record.  Looking through old pictures and videos on my computer, I can't believe how much he has grown!  He will be 4 years old in 4 months!  *tear*
So, to make up I am posting some of the old stuff...
Here are some memories from August 10, 2006 through August 10, 2007
Just born
2 weeks old
My grandma, NanNan, passed away while I was pregnant with Christian.  This bib was made from one of her bibs (she was blind and used a bib when she ate).

He used to make this face all the time!  I called it his monkey face.
First ride on the four-wheeler... not much of a ride, but it still counts.
First Halloween
He always wanted to be held!  As soon as I laid him down, he would cry.
First Christmas
Learning how to sit up like a big boy.
First snow day
Kyle was teaching him to hold his own bottle.
He used to make this noise all the time!

This outfit was from NanNan's closet.  She loved to collect cute vintage-type baby clothes.
Cute hiney!
 Learning to make funny noises.
 Happy baby!
I had a hard time keeping him out of the dog bowls at my mom's house.
 Sweet angel baby.
 My water baby.
I also had a hard time keeping him out of the toilet... anything with water!
He was quiet for too long.  When I checked on him, he was under his bathroom sink.
First birthday

Christian's second year (1-2)

Here are a few memories from just after August 10, 2007 through August 10, 2008.

Christian LOVED to dress up in my sports bras...
...and in my panties.
Reading on the potty (we potty trained him at 15 months since he wouldn't keep his clothes on)
 his means of escape:
My voice in this video is annoying.  I think I had too much coffee or something.  But, it is cute of Christian.
2nd Halloween - Gangsta CK
2nd Christmas (in San Antonio)

Always getting into something, but at least he is resourceful!  He brought the can over just to use as a stool:
First time at the rodeo.  (and yes, Ryan had a shaved head.  blah.)
The three amigos at the soccer game...  Beckham!
"I love you!"

First Easter egg hunt (at the farm):
Playing around with Kelli at our farm:
Snake!
 Never has any pants on...
 Again, no pants.
On the ferry to Port Aransas:
More from Port A: He was crying because he couldn't have Ryan's beer.  You give the kid one taste and he wants the whole thing!  I hear CPS calling...

He peed in the sand and then took off!
Surfing
He learned to say "water" on our trip, but for some reason he always said "watey batey".

Lake Brownwood camping trip (he had an accident in his pants)
Christian's 2nd birthday (he learned how to swim a few months before his birthday)
Christian and Katy at his 2nd birthday party
