We all had a dentist appointment on the same day. I knew it'd be challenging. Ryan's mom watched Maven for me so I could take CK and Tay with me to get our pearly whites polished up.
Tay's appointment finished early, so she was left mom-less while I was finishing up. I thought she could sit in my room with me and play on her Kindle. But, she wanted to climb on everything. This made the staff extra nervous. One assistant offered to play with her. She thought she'd color with her. I must've heard her say at least four times "No, don't eat that!". Then she said at least seven times "Be careful! You'll fall!". Then I heard Tay say "butthole" at least twice.
Seriously... I really don't know where she learned that word. We don't even say "butt" here. We say "hiney". And, "butthole"? Um, totally ewww. She thrives on shock, I think.
Anyway, I didn't want to call attention to it when she said it the first time, thinking maybe they'd think that they misunderstood her. Then she said it again. Paint my face red!
Tay had a cavity. A sugar bug, as they call it. It was just a surface spot in one of her molar crevices. They said they'd just give her laughing gas to calm her down. "Just a tad", they said. "Its only surface, so it won't be very invasive at all."
You'd have thought they were bathing feral cats back there. I was enlisted to be the leg holder. She wasn't fighting them or trying to be difficult, but she definitely wasn't trying to make things easy. She was just being Tay. In true Tay style, she lifted her legs so high up that she kicked the dentist in her face. (fun fact: Tay accidentally inflicts wounds on those she loves. She is our lovable porcupine. So cute and sweet, yet so dangerous.)
So, yeah. In.her.face.
So, that's when I got my job.
When they went to put in the filling, she wiggled all around. When they went to put the blue light on it to dry it, she wiggled all around. Doc said it looked like a mess back there, but it was complete.
Then Tay got a sticker. I should've gotten a trophy.
The photos below are not ofthe exorcism the filling process. There is no way I could take pictures or video that madness. This is just her getting her teeth cleaned.
