Taylor's Mysterious Marks

About two weeks ago, our nanny reported some weird rash on Taylor's arm.  That day, my mom picked our babies up on her way home from work.  She, too, mentioned the weird spots.  We have yet to figure out what it is.  It looks like a burn, but it is not raised.  If someone didn't know better, they would probably assume that it is a birthmark.  Nothing was out of her usually routine for the day.  She wasn't exposed to anything unusual.  She still sleeps for almost 20 hours, so she was swaddled up for most of the day.  I checked her blanket - nothing there.  She hasn't acted like it bothers her at all.  The weirdest part is, it seems like this "rash" goes completely through her arm.  There is an identical mark under her arm directly below the spot that is on top of her arm.  Plus, there is a small mark on her torso where her arm touches her body when she is swaddled.  What is this???  The only thing I can think of is maybe it is some sort of reaction to her vaccine.  We follow a very conservative vaccine schedule, so she just had her first this month (Polio).  This red mark appeared the day after.  Only thing is, its not anywhere near the injection site.  Can't figure this one out!  We asked her doctor.  She had no clue what it could be, but guessed hives and said it should clear up in about three days.  Nope.  Still here and going strong.  I asked my naturopath friend.  She suggested milk thistle, which will cleanse her of any toxins she is holding on to.  She also wondered if it was maybe Roseola, which is something I considered.  I also wondered if maybe Christian had spilled some of his milk on her arm, thinking she could have a strong cow's milk allergy.  We put some milk on a little bandaid and applied it to her skin.  Nothing.  So for now, we are trying the milk thistle.  As long as she isn't feeling bad, we aren't too worried.  It sure is a funky thing, though.

You can see the spot under her arm here:

And here you kind of see the spot on top of her arm:

(its hard to get a picture with a squirmy baby as the subject!)
