Christian really showed off this time.
Who thinks of this stuff?
Oh. Christian does.
Brilliant!
A homemade kite. One for him and one for Tay.
He came up with a game for them. Its sort of like when my brother and I would play our cool game, Run Away To The End of The Street and Pretend It Was A Big Deal. Only, they stayed home and actually packed bags.
Maven might be in one of those bags.
We try to keep Christian's creative juices flowing. So, sometimes the parents bust out with something fun and unique. This time it was Ryan. Backstory: Christian got a splinter. Shane pulled it out. My mom taped it to a piece of paper so he could bring it home to show me. Tay ate it. (Don't a lot of my stories end with "Tay ate it"?) Christian went to bed, but he had told Ryan to show me when I got home. (I was watching kids at church)
I didn't want to lie and say I saw it.
We also didn't want to disappoint Christian. He was VERY proud of his splinter.
So, Ryan had this sitting out for him the following morning:
Christian was very excited. (Tay is in the background, probably eating something non-edible.)
Splinter Cricket
I love this boy!
