Actually, its kind of been a theme the past few years. See exhibit A and exhibit B.  As well as the treacherous aftermath. See exhibit C  The week before Tay was born, our trees were so weighted down with snow that the massive branches snapped like toothpicks.

I wonder if this year we beat the record of arrogant drivers that thought "I got this!".

 

Yo, There's Snow in Texas!!

And it was enough to stomp around on.

This was Maven's first time to experience snow!

 

See that jacket above that Tay is wearing?  I didn't notice at first when Ryan dressed them, but after I went outside I realized what she was wearing.  That jacket is a size 3-6 MONTHS!!!!!  Her arms were stiff and her shoulders had no movement.  If she had fallen off that slide, she fully would've had to rely on her face to catch her.  She was about as useful as a T-Rex in that coat.  Think Tommy Boy, here.

Tay thought it'd be fun to jump on the frozen trampoline.  No one bothered to tell her that frozen things don't stretch.

 

Texas Snow

After seeing the real deal for almost a week in Colorado, this was hardly impressive. 

But, it was still fun!  And cold!

Nikki, Tristan, and her baby boy all came over to play with us.  They had cabin-fever and needed to get out for a bit.

It was very cold, so we came inside to warm up. 

Skylar fed his girlfriend.  Sweet baby boy!

I still can't believe we made an ALL TIME RECORD of snowfall in DFW!!!

This looks like fun, but didn't work as well as we thought.

 

 This is the neighbor's truck. Look at that pile on top! News says we got 12.6 inches.

This limb is usually waaaay out of reach. Here it is almost touching the driveway.
