Ebola on a plane

Remember that time when people were getting ebola?  And it seemed to be the most rampant and contagious on airplanes?

See how many looks you can get while flying with morning all day sickness, but aren't visibly pregnant.  My neighbor jerked himself closer to the window as Sandra slapped the barf bag on my thigh.  Too late fella!  I've already been blowing breath all up in your Koolaid!  There's no hope for you.

I felt like I needed a shirt that said "I don't have ebola!".  But, they don't make those.  Or, at least they didn't at the time.

So, yes, I flew.  And I flew to Florida with Sandra (who is now my cousin) to see Natalee, my other cousin.  We sought out beer pickles, shopped, whispered to pirates, criticized baby names ending in "ly", ate REALLY good food, saw a dickie do award, and laughed until we almost peed in our pants.
I was also felt up at the airport.
Twice.

(I threw up right before we took this)

I Know What You Did Last Spring!

Remember that crazy movie?  Eek.
Who leaves a one-handed fisherman dead on the side of the road?

We did things.  Lots of things.  But, we did not murder a fisherman.
Not that I know of.
However, maybe I should ask Tay.

We hadn't been in Port Aransas too long.  But, in our true travel-as-much-as-possible-and-take-on-every-adventure fashion, we met up with Ryan in San Antonio, crashed everyone's River Walk party, pierced Christian's ear, and had a girls weekend in Boerne.

Not long after that, we headed all the way up to Waco for that magical time when the whole family gathers and we laugh, eat, and put hats on dogs.  We also joined in on an Easter style birthday party and took some obligatory bluebonnets photos (talk about taking out a bunch of birds with that stone).

Beachster

Beachster = Easter at the beach
I so should copyright that.  Its clever.
Eh, clever-ish.
Maybe not.

Easter at the beach is just about as AWESOME as it sounds.  Really.  We ran around by the water, found candy, played games, won prizes, ate hot dogs, stared at other people (laughed when they fell) ... and all for free!
But there's always that one dude that ruins the party.  If Chucky, a rabid Easter Bunny, and a wolverine had a threesome, this dude would be their spawn.  Honestly, what kid willingly walks up to a fanged rabbit, much less take poison in the shape of an egg from him?  (Besides Taylor Rose)
Even Ryan knew better. (Plus, he is creeped out by clowns.)

We dodged him and went for the cuter, safer, not-going-to-drink-our-blood bunny.
Though, this one does look like its thinking about what side dish to prepare with a Taylor Rose.

My momma hooked us up, too... all lookin' like she wrote the Pinterest book!

And the girls had their very first Easter party!
At their school!
(I LOVE that they had this time in school, and we WILL do it again.)

The Time I Laughed When I Wasn't Supposed To...

Yeah, like that's only happened once.
I actually laughed ALL OVER again while I was loading these videos.  You'd think I wasn't there to see it in person.  I am still wiping the tears off of my face.  Literally.
Here is some background to the videos...

Christian had a end-of-the-school-year program at MRBA.  He dreaded it.  He is used to being the cool kid.  Put him on some kind of a board or any given sport, and he'd love to show off.  But, ask him to sing a little diddy that requires sassy hand movements and frolicking around like a just-bathed dog and there's no way he's going to have any part of it.
I bribed him and did everything I could to make him chipper.  But, there was no sugar coating the fact that he was being forced onto a stage so that lots of strangers could witness and document him skipping, chirping, and lollygagging around like a imbecile chasing invisible bees.
All the grandparents came.  Kelli came, too.  My mom sat down next to Tay.  She made a horrendous choice in her seating decision.  A reeeally horrible choice.  Almost lethal.  Not so much to her, though I bet she'd argue that, but more so to the program.
My laughter was almost too much to hold in.  I could've made a scene.  (Its not like I haven't done that before.) It wasn't a big auditorium and I was heard by MANY.  Teachers glared.  Parents stared.  (Sounds like the start of an Edgar Allen Poe poem, eh?)
My mom got started on laughing, too.  Thick and heavy laughing.  But then I guess she realized that laughing = more breathing.  And that is wherein her mistake lay.  Her seat was right next to a young fellow that didn't believe in showers... or deodorant.  Or maybe he simply liked to douse himself in two-day-old tomcat urine before presenting himself in public.  I mean, really, who knows?
And our audience participation song... that song... yeah... it was "Cabeza, Hombros, Piernas, Pies"... The Spanish version of the song "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes".
She looked at me with the "Are you freakin' kidding me?!" face.  Then she said "Are you freakin' kidding me?!"
I lost it.
So, I walked off (really not as inconspicuously as I had planned) to record CK.  And that (meaning CK) made me laugh more.  So, excuse the shaky camera.  I do, however, deserve MAJOR props for not laughing too loudly!
(Notice my mom's "discrete" body language when I turn the camera towards her.)

This is one of the times I almost completely lost it.  This is the face top of the head of a mortified kid:

And here are a few other videos of things that weren't too preposterous for CK to kinda-sorta participate in:

And just so the other kids don't feel left out, here they are climbing around and doing things that scare the other parents on the playground at MRBA.  (Boring stuff, actually) :
(She's really high up there, they said.)

(She's eating the tiny rocks, they said.)

Like a Walk in the Park

... actually, it is a walk in the park.
River Legacy Park.
On a cold day.
A super duper freakishly cold day.
But, we braved the Texas weather and earned our Scout's badges.  Not officially... we are still waiting on our recognition.

 Tay was whiiiii-iiiny.

See that?  Its Dillo Dan!
Here he is in action:
