Taylor's vacation

My mom watched Taylor while Ryan, Christian, and I went to Playa del Carmen.  I have never been away from her for more than a few hours, never spent a night away, much less spent 4 nights away!  The thought of her not being near made me sick, so I did my best to not talk about her at all.  She didn't seem to miss us much, though.  Instead, she had her a grand ol' girls weekend with her Chel.

New Neighbors and New Friends

Since our move, we have become pretty good friends with our neighbors.  They are from New Jersey, but NOTHING like Jersey Shores!  (Hahaha... I am kidding.  We are not that naive.)

There are three kids - Isabelle (almost 9), Jennalese (a.k.a "Jenny" 7), and Anabull (6).  Even though Anabull is the boy, Christian seems to have picked Jenny as his favorite.  Her mom and dad have explained that she can be wild, a characteristic of her type of austism.  The only difference I can see in her is that she is extrememly loving and affectionate.  She is an absolute sweetheart.  As for the wild side, I am sure that is Christian's favorite part of his new friend. 

I had the kids all help me stain my fish tank stand.  (Isabelle had a knack for it!) The stain understandably spilled, so we used the hose to wash it off the driveway.  Jenny and Christian took advantage of the opportunity to get as dirty as possible.  I admit, I was a little envious...

Best My Friend

Christian gets words mixed up sometimes and I love it!  We very rarely correct his speech.  He will eventually fix it himself so we just bask in the cuteness.

One of my favorite Christian-isms is when he says "You best my friend".  Ugh!  I love it!

We all went out for a little bachelorette celebration. CONGRATULATIONS GIRL!!

Port Aransas

We took our first vacation of the summer and as a family of four to Port Aransas. Its was a good trip to test the water (Haha! Nice pun!) with a bit more of a bunch than we are used to. It went smoothly, as most things do with Taylor. She isn't too keen on the wind and sun, so we fought those elements as best as could on the beach.

Sights very rarely seen

Taylor rarely cries. Very rarely. She is full of smiles and coos. I did manage to catch her slightly unhappy, though.

She ended up bursting into tears right after I took this... probably because she was hungry and, instead, I was taking pictures.

Congratulations Kyle! You actually held a baby!!!
